September 2008

It’s official now, version 2.24.0 of the GNOME desktop has been released.
You can find the release notes here.

The 2.24 release notes have been unlocked (no longer require authorization), they can be found here.

This can only mean that the official release announcement is close…

Version 2.14.3 of GTK+ has been released, you can find the announcement here.

There aren’t many changes in this release, but the main change is that app-breaking changes to GtkAdjustment have been reverted (see this discussion).

This release is in preparation for GNOME 2.24.0, which should be sometime today.

I’ve just made the first release of my GtkReflector widget on gtkforums.com
I may work on it more and do stuff like setting a maximum reflection depth, but only if time allows.

Here’s a picture of what it looks like on windows (although I use the Human theme engine, so it’s not quite what it looks like on windows):

You can find the release (along with the source code) here.

Version 2.12.12 of GTK+ has been released, you can find the announcement here.

There are 32 bit windows binaries available, but no 64 bit.
Also, there isn’t a bundle package yet, but it should be there soon.

Version 2.14 of GTK+ has been released, you can find the announcement here.

Update: There are now binary packages of 2.14.0 for windows available, and, like GLib, there are 64 bit binaries available, however, there is no 64 bit gtk+-bundle package yet and in trying to package my own, it seems that pango-freetype and pkg-config aren’t available for 64 bit windows yet.

Update: Evidently there was a deadlock in the 2.14.0 package, so a 2.14.1 has been released already (see here).

Update: There now seems to be 64 bit packages available for all of the dependencies, and a 64 bit bundle release of 2.14.1 has been made.
